Journal blueprint
My daily journal is one of my non-negotiables….Sometimes I write nothing of seemingly obvious value. But it clears the way, getting out all the thoughts so I can move on to more decent stuff. Whenever I have too many ideas, not enough ideas, things playing on my mind or seeking some inspiration, it helps my business. So given the time of year, I’m sharing my current fave journaling prompts.
✨What are three things I want to cultivate more of in my life, and what small steps can I take today to align with them? Reflect on what sets you apart and brainstorm ways to highlight your strengths in your branding and marketing.
✨What are my top three business goals for the next six months, and what steps can I take to achieve them? Breaking down your goals into actionable steps to create a clear path forward.
✨What unique value do I offer my clients, and how can I communicate that more effectively? How are you translating your values into visuals? For instance, if authenticity is important to you, are you sharing candid behind-the-scenes shots? Remember, your brand’s visual identity should be an extension of your values. Let me know if you need any help with this.
And if you’d like to read more journaling tips to help it become a regular practice, read on….
1.Keep it Simple:
One of the most common barriers to consistent journaling is the misconception that it needs to be a lengthy, time-consuming process. But it can be as brief as you need. Focus on the highlights of your day, or challenges, your emotions, or any insights that come to mind. There’s no right or wrong way to do it.
2.Create a Routine:
Consistency is key when it comes to making it become a habit. Choose a specific time each day to dedicate to your journaling practice. I do it once the kids are at school which helps me sort my day. Or you might prefer the evening to reflect. The more you have at the same time each day, the more it becomes a practice to keep up.
3.Embrace Imperfection:
One of the beauties of journaling is that it’s raw and unfiltered. Don’t be afraid of imperfections. Your journal is where you express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without worrying about grammar or spellings. Or anyone else reading it. Allow yourself the freedom to be authentic and vulnerable. It’s a personal journey, and there’s no right or wrong way to do it.
